Переглядів 1075 місяців тому
A new series from our friend, Stephen Boone. In this series, he'll talk about the super basics of starting to play guitar... stuff like; what does a tone knob do? how does the pickup switch work? and where does the sound of an electric come from? It may seem very simple & basic to some people, but also VERY useful for someone who's just getting started. Enjoy and leave us a comment with other v...

My £30 Marshall Valvestate 15R sounds better and more tube like than the tone master lol
Thanks for an excellent, "real world" demo of the different tones available. Good explanations of the switching options. Solid playing without either jazzy noodling or too much distortion. I could hear what the guitar is likely to sound like in my playing situation. A nice hint of JJ Cale's Magnolia in your closing jam too! It's five years since you recorded this, I'm looking for a guitar that sounds just different enough to complement a Strat and a Tele I already own and the combination of a splittable, low output bridge humbucker with slightly Gretsch voiced single coils seems to be ideal. A pre-owned S2 Studio has just come on sale locally here in the UK. Your video makes me feel it's worth making the journey to check it out.
Listened to a lot of these and, much as I want to bigup the Heritage, the ES335 is easily worth $500 more
All that to play the riff incorrectly 😭
If u have a 4 hour gig .the battery won't last totally usless
Lots of tedious origin talk for most of the video, didn't even bother to check the specs. C5 has mahogany back and sides. Bro it doesn't even look like rosewood.
I gotta have that cowbell
❤ SUPR ROCKIN ❤
Send it to my apartment & I’ll take a quick look at it😏
Have had 15 Cordoba instruments. FCWE Reissue,55fce cypress, 2-GK Pro negras, 2-GK Pro blancas, 55fce maple, 55fce ebony, C12, F10, C5-CET, a couple of Minis, a couple of Mini IIs. All were awesome and the ones that I still have get gigged often. I have gigged Cordoba for over 10 years now. I can't imagine playing anything else at this point. Met Tim (and the late great Ben Woods) at Music Villa when they were having a vendor day.
Great video! How do I empty my triggers and allow all my pads to be used? Thanks in advanced!
You can't test a tube amp without knowing how to play properly.
Put them on a stands side by side to make a fair comparison and use a ABY pedal.
Tube amp any day ..
I just got the 12 Maple, love it!!!
Everything about this is wrong......AND THEN most peeps listening through the itsy-bitsy cell phone spkr(s). Completely ridiculous...
I think you guys might be interested in the New Brane X Portable Bluetooth speaker made in Austin, Tx. I don't have a S1Pro+ but if you will rent me one I will take it to their store and compare it to the BraneX
That's not 4 horsemen
The knowledge of generations is pointless…. lol says every digital modeling blah blah blah… These amps are heralded the way they are for a reason. If you ever have one in your home, then on the road and in the studio you will have a way better understanding of why they’re so highly praised. Why model something when you can just have the *something*? Unless you’re a studio musician you don’t need 20 different amp tones…. You need an amp that can do clean and pushed with volume control for options…. If you play metal add another level of gain staging but the idea is the same. Someone’s tone is as much about what they don’t use as it is about what they do….
A plus for the effort
Thought it was mechanix for a sec
the tube amp sounds choked
One reviewer of the Tonemaster suggested that differences between the TMs and their tube counterparts were getting so subtle that he doubted that the live audience would notice the difference. Heavyweight Tube for the recording studio. Lightweight SS, Digital for the road. Seems to me that the only ones who will appreciate tube tone are going to be the players themselves.
Sorry guys, my Katana 100 Mk2 wins hands down. (What does hands down mean anyway) The Kat is my choice.
The amps aren't recorded the same. Imo, the modeled one sounds like a direct recording, the tube sounds like the speaker is being blocked.
Hmm, not at all similar. Somethings wrong
Turn that amp up work.Your guitar volume
I hear you saying you are going to talk about beer but I don't see any.
So the white 30 cannot record? When they record, can they quantize?
Not loud enough for 100 people even with 2. The speakers are made in china. & the cheapest speakers u can buy in china. No mids the reverb junk. These UA-camrs not honest
Comparison makes only sens when connected to the very same speakers. That's bs.
How about letting us know which is which .
Got mine it shreds…
Noise (period)
Tried both at a music store. Bose took less than 5 minutes to make the Mic. And guitar sound great! Like having a mixing engineer. EV took about 20 minutes to make it sound ok was not happy with the muddy sound. Crancked both speakers up, both sounded just as loud. I own EV speakers they sound amazing with a Mixer. But for easy and simplicity Bose takes the Cake, just plug and play. Loud enough for small backyards and small venues. no more carrying big speakers, mixer and looking for electricity to hook up when its not required. If Im playing in a bigger venue ill use my bigger system and use the Bose pro for a extra monitor without having to plug power to it...
Thanks for this! Been reading on both and I think I'm leaning more towards the Bose because it's at $600 now and I will mainly be using it with vocals
If you want a semi the heritage is a good option. If you want a 335 get it though because the 535 will never sound like a 335. I had both
Awesome - Amazing Sound ! ! ! That guy reminds me of Thin Lizzy !
Great player
It’s not what you play, it’s that you play… save your back get the light one….
Yeah cool thank you
If it’ll hold my Strandberg guitars I’m in
He barres his 2nd fret “A” chord. That’s why he misplayed it. You can here it. Dude, use 3 fingers so that high E can sing out. No teacher would ever have taught you that. Get some lessons.
It’s a main part of my everyday carry. It’s so much fun for music on the go
Also have to figure that amp against the wall is going to sound different, reflecting sound waves!😉
Just found this and really enjoyed it thanks so much
Hi! And how will the Bose S1 Pro Plus be able to voice this urban scene? ua-cam.com/video/yoybdtGrRm4/v-deo.html Will it be heard as well as Everse 8? Is the Bose S1 Pro Plus suitable for such performances? The other speaker in the same place is heard worse ua-cam.com/video/fNYFreBIEiw/v-deo.html . Will the sound volume in the Bose S1 Pro Plus be closer to the first option or to the second? Thanks!
I really love the Blue Powder version of this guitar. It's classy looking.
This seems to be something I’d find a good use for. Gay demo!
Vocal are the most important part. And no body on UA-cam demo the vocals with the reveb whats going on. Go back to kindi
Doze the reverb not work
